The ship docked on earth and the prisoner was being escorted by Jayla and the captain. The captain handed in the paper work for the transfer and while that was being done Jayla decided it was time for the plan to be in motion.

“Excuse me captain but the prisoner looks like he needs to be in the infirmary.”

“What are you talking about he looks perfectly fine.”

On que Elphin swayed as if the ground was moving. “Excuse me corporal can you take the prisoner to the infirmary. Sorry about that he seem well when we left the ship. It must be the earth atmosphere messing with him.”

The guard nodded for the other man to take him to the infirmary.

“Captain is it alright if I escort the prisoner and the guard there? I haven’t been feelin right myself.”

“Hmm, must be an issue with the food replicator. Don’t take long. You see the doctor first we have to go soon.”

“Yes captain.”

They walked down the corridors that seemed a bit moist, even for earth standards.

“Was there a storm recently? The wall seemed to be dripping?”

The guard looked at her with a questionable look on his face.

“There has been no storm or any rain for that matter for over two months. The scientists are testing out there new invention and we pay the price.”

Jayla knew that not all human’s agree to the scientist experiments but they did not fight against it. They walked into the infirmary and Jayla immediately noticed that there was a patient in one of the beds at the far end. The air felt misplaced in there.

“Stay over there I will get the doctor.” The guard told them.

Once he left Jayla turned and whispered to Elphin, “Somethings off in this place.”

“Yes I feel it as well. What do you think is going on?”

“Not sure but I have to see who that patient is down there.”

“Why?”

“Not sure why, but I have to know what is taking place here. Do you hear anyone coming?”

“No not yet.”

“Give me a signal that some one is coming.” She told him as she walked slowly over to the patient in the bed. She looked at Elphin and he shook his head to inform him that no one was coming.

She was looking at a familiar face on the bed. Red T. He seemed to be sedated. She pulled the blanket back and seen several slices into his skin. They were taking pieces of him to examine while he was still alive. Not good, not good at all. What are they looking for now?

“Red T you must wake now.” She whispered to him but what he mustered was a moan and that was all.

“Ahemm.” Elphin cleared his throat signaling that some one was almost there. She quickly walked back and stood by him.

“Hello, so you  have not been feeling well? Your captain said something about the food maybe contaminated?” The doctor asked not once bothering to touch her to see if there was anything abnormal she could feel.

“Not sure. I just feel ill.” Jayla looked at the guard next to the door. She had to take both of them out.

“Do you have quinine capsules that usually helps.” Jayla asked.

The doctor nodded and went to the wall to order the capsules for her.  The guard moved toward Elphin to guard him better. He kept his head slightly bowed not giving the guard any eye contact.

Talia brushed against him signaling that the plan is about to start.

Jayla walked over to the doctor, knowing it would make him feel a bit uncomfortable. She was counting on that.

“Please back up while I order your meds.”

“I can not do that.”

“Excuse me?” As the doctor turned around Jayla hit him on the back of his neck, hearing a slight crack then he passed out. Behind her Elphin managed to get the guard in a strangle hold and waited for him to pass out as well. Once he was out, Jayla taped the remote cell on her belt to signal the captain to start his part of the plan.

“I don’t like leaving them a live. They will come after us.” He said

She did not say anything. She was not ready to kill them yet.

Jayla let Elphin’s hands go free. “Help me with the patient. He is who we came for and who Is causing this weird displacement we are experiencing.”

He nodded and grabbed Red T and swung him over his shoulder. As they made their way back to where they left the captain, they noticed that a couple of guards were leaning against the wall with a scorch mark to the chest. They quickly left the guard station and walked pass several scientist on their way to the ship.

“Hey, stop. what are you carrying over the shoulder?” One of them noticed but Jayla and Elphin made it to the ship just before the guards reached them and the captain took off.

Jayla guided Elphin to one of the now vacated rooms and placed Red T on the bed.

“Stay here. I have to go to the bridge to talk to the captain.”

“Are you well? Do you need power?” Jayla looked into Elphin’s eye’s and he was sincere in his offer to help her. But she had to figure out a way for the both of them to gain power. So even though she could use a boost she refused and told him to stay there once more.

The captain and couple of the old crew where on board helping to fly the ship.

“How’s Red T?” the captain asked.

“On conscious. It  seems that they used a powerful sedative on him. Where are we headed?  To the Nexpla nebula. I have word that there may be another of your kind there and I need to recruit more staff to run this ship.

“Another of my kind?” she whispered not wanting a response to her own question. She thought about what Red T had told her and how things are falling into place. “The Nexpla nebula. The pirate planet is in the middle of it.”

The captain nodded and Jayla did not want to question his logic in hiring lying, thieves. Her concern is finding the Anori.

“Your looking pale. you can feed there. The people are not shy with sharing as long as you pay.”

“I’m alright. Do not worry.”

“Oh I’m not. By the way, the rule of you not feeding on my ship is nulled.”

Jayla looked at him as he continued to monitor the sky for anyone following them.

“No one?” she noticed the sky was empty of any pursuit.

“No and I don’t like it. Do me a favor and scan Red T for a tracking device. This does not make sense. I should have several ships after me.”

Jayla agreed and went to do as he asked.

Could Red T be a plant so they could follow where they were going? How would they know they were coming in the first place. This is turning out to very odd. Do you agree? please like and follow. Also do not feel shy to say leave a comment.
