Mitchel sat in the living room lounge chair as Jose glared at him. She had changed into comfortable clothing and put her hair up in a messy bun. If she didn’t have that angry look on her face she would look appealing.
“Why are you so angry?”
“You break into my apartment and act as if you own my place by bossing me around. How would you look?”
Maybe he might have over stepped a bit but his head was killing him and he was not in the mood to be polite.
“I apologize. Thank you for the coffee.”
Her face relaxed a bit. “Have you found out anything new?”
“Not really the trail went cold so I have to go back to the office and look over a few things. I might have missed a clue.”
“I can tell you, you will not find anything at the office. Barry shredded a lot of papers and he told me that he will call me with work to do.”
“That’s odd. Does he normally have you work from home?” He asked with a puzzled look on his face.
“No, but then again he was never attacked at work either. So he probably wanted to get away.
So he probably wanted to get away.
Mitchel decided not to delve any further on that topic. He
looked around her place and it was meticulous, but he did not see any pictures
“You live alone then?”
“I see that it’s a bit sterile in here.”
“Sterile?” She looked at her place. It was neat and orderly.
She was never productive with clutter all around her. She loved pastel
coloring. It gave you the color without overpowering you. She even had scented
“I do not see what you’re talking about?”
“You have no pictures or anything about showing you have a
life outside of the office.”
She did not like that he picked that up so easily.
“I have a life outside of work. I go to a baking class and I
have just purchased a ticket to go on a cruise to the Caribbean.”
He could not believe a woman as young and attractive is
talking like she’s someone’s granny.
“What?” She asked with a bit of a defensive tone.
“Nothing. I need to head out. I hope you enjoy your cruise.”
He said and added a lifted eyebrow. That really started to piss her off.
“Say it or just keep it to your self but don’t give body ques
that you want to say something then don’t”
“Fine you’re a young woman who lives alone with not one
picture showing that there is someone out there that cares about you or you
them. When was the last time you were bedded?”
“You heard me. You are tense more than necessary and I find a
good bedding and I mean superb bedding relaxes my mind and body. So, when?”
“I was leaving you know. You would not let me.”
“Just get ou—” Stunned into silence he kissed her. Rough,
dominating and disturbingly thorough.
Once he steps back, he looked at her and said, tell me that
you are not a little bit wound up?”
She looked at him and with as much sentence structure she
could recall answered. “Get out.”
The parting of moistened lips from being thoroughly kissed is so visually stimulating, that secreted parts that are covered from view are making them selves known with a moistened sheen on satin fabric.

The alarm goes off and Jose wakens from the same dream she’s been having for the last eight nights straight. Getting up too quickly is a curse that she is doomed to repeat many, many times in her life and today is no different.
Dragging herself out of bed and going straight to the bathroom, she see herself in the bathroom mirror. What she see’s if the reflection of her twin sister Lisa, who passed away ten years ago. The were identical in every way except they were mirror images of each other. Jose had a mole on her left wrist. So Lisa had it on her right. They had the one blue eye and one brown eye gene and it was on the opposite sides as well. Jose blue eye was on the right and Lisa’s was on the left.
When they turned eighteen years old they decided to split up for a year and see how it felt to be apart. At first it was hard for them being so attached to each to separate from each other but it became easier for Lisa when she met Ethan. At eighteen there parents had split and lived in two different cities so that helped with their decision.
Jose pulled her self from her memories and managed to go about her routine.
She lived in a studio apartment on the west bank of Laurent Street in Manchester Pennsylvania.
The tree have started to turn over from green the orange and reds and littering the sidewalk.
Jose made it on time to the her job as a tax assistant to Barry Walter’s.
The man had so many clients during tax season he almost had a nervous breakdown when the tax laws had change in the middle of last year. But as a professional he pulled it together fixed everyone taxes and left to Cancun for a month to unwind.
During that time Jose ran the office. Now he’s back and He was expecting his first client at precisely 10 am. It was 9:30 and Jose set the atmosphere.
See, she was not just any client. She was the owner of a chain of jewelry stores that are only known to the very wealthy. He landed the gig because he was an unknown tax preparer.
As she was plugging in the air effects, Jose heard the door open. She stood up and turned into the lips she seen in her dreams that very morning.
“Can I help you?”
He looked at her as if she was insignificant. “I was told to meet Alexandrea Monchunt here. Has she arrived?”
“Who are you, please?”
“Really? You don’t know who I am?”
‘Okay, the guy who’s mouth is delish, is a straight up ass.’ Jose thought
“Again, who are you?”
The door opened behind her and her boss walked out and went straight to the ass.
“Hello Mitchel, Have you met my assistant Josephine Spark?”
‘He gave me another once over before rolling his eyes. Can you believe he rolled his eye’s?’ She thought.
“Briefly. I was supposed to meet Alex here but it seems like she had not arrived yet. I will return in twenty minutes. In that time, can you school your assistant Barry, on who I am.”
“I know what you are.” Jose whispered as he walked out of the office.
“What happened out here?”
“All I asked was who was he? He was asking for a very high paying client and I know you did not want anyone to know she was coming.”
He sighed and explained that, that ass was Sir Mitchel Long. A knighted guard in her majesty service. He was assigned to escort Alexandrea Monchunt to London after taking care of certain affairs today.
“Well he behaved rude and I do not care if he is a knight. I will be professional and do my job.”
Her boss smiled at her.”Jose your always professional. Just relax and you look nice.”
He never payed many compliments but when he did it was heart felt.
“Now continue your work and relax around him, even if he is rude. I apologize in advance.”
For a boss he was a bit soft but he knew his numbers and that’s why he brings in private clients.
‘How could she not know who I am? I hate the states.’
He walked over to a small shop and ordered a coffee with specific instructions. He knew that, that woman at Barry’s office would not have what he like to make a proper coffee.
The woman behind the register was looking at him with the usual admiring look he was accustomed to. That infuriating woman did not look at him at all like that. Why was that bothering him? No it was the fact that Alex was purposely not at the place.
‘Mitchel she did not have to be there until 10.’ He told himself.
He wanted to return home. He had had enough and he had his fill with the excitement of being Alex’s body guard. He was thirty and needed something more in his life. Which he figured was impossible now since he had no time to look. That was the only reason he took the assignment in the hope to find his match.
No such luck. He looked at his watch and seen that it was 10: 05. “She better be there” He said finishing off one of the only vices that made being here in the states bearable.

“I so hate being part of this family. Why did he come and get me? He never once cared if I lived or died.” She said as she paced back and forth in her room.
Abella walked in to see an agitated Jaqueline. She was normally a very quite child. Even though that was over two hundred years ago since she had been considered a child and now tonight they celebrate her two hundredth birth day.
“Why are you not happy? Tonight is for you?” Abella asked realizing that she did not even noticed that she entered her room.
“Oh mother your here. Makalo is being unreasonable.”
“Makalo please do not think your saying your father’s name as if you are a friend and not his offspring is acceptable on any account. What is he being unreasonable about?”
“Did you know I have been arranged to be married?” She looked at Abella for some sign of hope that she did not.
“Yes I set it up myself. That is how it is done with us.” Abella stated.
“Well unarranged it. I will not be shoved to an unknown male because it is how it is done.”
Abella was getting bored with the theatrics. She went and sat down on the chase chair in the corner so she did not have to stand any longer.
“Why will I unarranged this?”
“Because I am in love with another, Mica.”
“Your in love?” Abella laughed. “Does your heart race when he’s near? So loud that it drowns out the sounds of every thing else. Do your gums ache to sink into his young taunt flesh? Does your flesh burn to be close to his, as close as possible.”
Jacqueline turned away ashamed of her reactions toward him that her mother was describing.
“That is not love. You have hit your two hundredth year. The G hormone is being released into your system. Regular blood will not curb this hunger. You mate with this male of your and he will not survive. this gene is injected into his blood as you feed. It his blood does not accept your gene he will die instantly and you will be paralyzed until his blood gets out of your system.”
“What?” Jacqueline looked into Abella’s eyes and knew she was not lying to her. “So that is how you and father were joined?”
“Yes his body can accepted my gene.”
Jacqueline sat on her bed defeated. Her head bent and droplets of tears moistened her exposed cleavage.
“There is no need to cry. You will be meeting your betrothed tonight. Clear the tears away and you must stand tall. Do not show sign of weakness or else he will walk all over you. Do you understand me?”
Abella wanted her to succeed in the mating. It would link their nests together crating the largest in the world. Her mate was known to through weak women out the window. She must remember what she had taught her over the years.
“Now stand and be who you were taught to be.”
“How do you know he will survive. We took a drop from your body and his and seen that it was compatible. He will be able to survive the blood transfer.”
“But it is the gene not blood.”
“Trust me it will work.”
Jacqueline nodded and proceeded to get ready for the party. She swore she will kill her father and mother for doing this to her. She may even kill her mate.
“Mmmm, that feels so good.” Creya said as she stretched out her muscles when she gotten up from the table.
She did not even notice that Adorjan could not keep his eyes off her. But Ukr did notice and he noticed that the other male was watching Adojan. There was something that was happening between the three of them and he did not know what part he played in this but he had a feeling he should speak to Andorjan alone.
“Minnie your cooking was exceptional.” Creya said.
Mini just smiled and nodded her head in thanks.
“Adorjan I would like to speak to you alone. Let’s take a walk.”
“I don’t think that is wise?”
“I did not ask what you thought about it?” Ukr said as he walked towards the front door expecting Adorjan to follow.
Adorjan looked at the both of them and rose from his seat. He followed Ukr out the door into the warm night air.
“I see the way you look at the female and I see the way the other male looks at you. Is there a problem?”
Adorjan did not know him well enough to confined in him.
Ukr could see his hesitation so he grabbed hold of his hand and the information poured into him.
“So I see. You want her be he has pronounced a claim to her.”
Adorjan pulled his had away. “How did you see that?”
“To long to explain so I will not waste time. Young man by the way she is stretching and slightly tilting her neck towards you she wants you.”
“Tilting her neck?”
“She is a shifter. What kind I am not sure but they all show signs of when they are ready to mate.”
Adorjan felt out of place and uncomfortable. she was showing signs and he wasn’t sure it was for him.
“I know you fear your inexperience will cause something detrimental to happen. So I will let you in on a secret. My home binds all abilities. You will not kill her or she you.”
“But what of Leo?”
“It binds all who enters my home. Right now he is trying to figure out how he can not hear what we are talking about. So I will leave you to your thoughts. Tonight is a beautiful night. ” Ukr said as he went inside.
‘I can be with her with out killing her.’ Adorjan thought. He managed to muster the confidence to enter the house once again. He noticed that Creya was sitting alone on the couch and Leo was not hovering around her.
He walked over to her and he noticed that Leo was in the corner of the room staring at Creya hungrily.
“I have to leave for a while. Creya watch Adorjan and call me if you need help.” Leo said as he stormed past him.
“I am not going to change.”
“Just being cautious.” Leo said then stormed out of the house.
This was his chance. He hoped he did not screw it up.

The whistling caused by the wind forcing it’s way through the crack in her coffin. Made Abella’s eyes open halfway looking at the satin casket that was made for her as a present by her late mother.
She never used it until now. She tried her best to stay still as her burns healed but with every movement the pain reminded her of what occurred to get her there.
“Mimi.” she whispered
She will be included on her on the death list. Accidental deaths happen a lot in nests there size. She had loyal followers that would do anything for her.
A thought of getting rid of Makalo had crossed her mind but she could not for the life of her see him dead. Not until she figured out how to give him a child of her own.
Being a full blood vampire she should have failed at conceiving at least once but his inattentiveness to her needs, played a big factor. He had to have another on the side. His appetite was being quenched by another and she will find out who.
She began thinking of Adorjan. He can not live to claim his birthright. He is of age but he is a blithe that needed to be rubbed out. Once she arises she will go about things a bit differently to get what she wants. It will start with, “Morgan.”
Makalo felt a twinge of guilt for snapping his daughter’s neck to knock her out. But she will be coming around, shortly and he did not want to get in an argument at the moment.
He placed her on her bed and walked out of her chamber. He had to see what had come to his home leaving Lurkspur in charge.
The house seemed the same but it was odd that the night maids were not tiding and he did not hear the rustling of pots in the kitchen.
Makalo had human servants and he treated them well. It was oddly normal.
He reached out his senses and hit a twinge in the forest behind the (House). Lurkspur was shielding what ever fowl play he was up too.
Immediately he rushed to the area to be greeted by the naked maids and the servants in the kitchen.
Makalo located Lurkspur in the distance being ridden by Yolanda and is feeding off Phillip at the same time. He knew his appetite would get the best of him.
“Lurkspur enough. Undue this trance at once or I will banish you from here forever.”
Lurkspur blackened eyes and elongated fangs dripping with blood looked at Makalo. he was in full feeding phase. Only an inkling of knowledge of what was going on had seeped into his blood hazed conscious.
Yolanda screamed out her orgasmic completion and fell onto her side. Lurkspur rose with his shaft still at attention. It looked as if he was struggling to come back but he bared his teeth to Makalo in defiance.
Makalo had had enough and took down Lurspurs ward. He was at his throat faster than Lurkspur could protect himself.
“Sorry old friend but you should have had more control.”
Lurkspur lashed out and tried it’s best to get Makalo’s grip from around his neck.
Makalo waited until to his blood lust faded and Lurkspur return to it’s rightful mind.
“Makalo I’m so sorry. I wanted to have fun and it turned into…”
“A freakin orgy Lurkspur. I want you to wipe their minds clean and leave.”
“But I can be of service.”
“May I return?”
“I’ll see you in the next millennia.”
Makalo released it and walked away. “Do not drink another drop or it will be the last drop.”
Makalo was tired yet his mind kept drifting to Adorjan and how he was doing. He’ll think about it at sun set. He was tired and he had to make sure Lurkspur left his home and county.
Abella never felt her heart beat. Normally if it did beat at all it was slow and non audible to the human ear. The sound of Makalo’s foot steps coming close the her chamber door jump started the beat.(Still not normal since they are dead)
The door slammed opened with such force that the wall cracked behind it. Abella knew he was upset but she had never seen him this way before.
“She was tried by the eternal nine and found guilty.” Abella said in a low tone as if she was talking to a feral animal and trying to keep it calm.
“You have no authority to call the nine.” He said through seething teeth.
“”Mimi wanted to be judged. I agreed to it.”
Her answer did not cool his raging anger.
“I have indulged you for too long.” Makalo swung his hand out and it landed across her face. Causing her lip to split and bleed.
“I will pass judgment on you. I decree you suffer the same fate as you accused mimi of.”
“You have lost your mind? I am your mate.”
“You should be happy to be burned. I can claim the old law and stake you. Causing you to be immobile. Or I could finally be rid of you and chop your head off.” A dark light of pleasure crossed his eyes at her fear.
“I apologized if I hurt you in any way.”
Makalo power was beating against her skin. “If you hurt me? IF! Don’t worry Abella you will not die tonight by my hand but you will feel pain.”
Before she was able to say a word. She stood in the center of the eternal flame. Makalo had stripped her of her outer garments leaving her in her under clothes. The doors were shut and he stood on the balcony above her.
“I tried you Abella for falsly accusing mimi. In doing so your sentence shall be passed.”
Makalo don’t do this. Please” She begged.
He looked at her and pressed the lever letting the lava flow through the pit. The heat climbed and began to burn her. Higher and higher the lava rose the more she suffered and screamed. Her hair singed and boned began to appear.
Makalo grabbed her and took out of the chanber. Befor passing into dark sleep he whispered. “Abella you will die a horrible death and I hope I witness it.” She slipped into consciousness.
“Come to me and take her. Give her blood and put her away from the light.”
Makalo practically dropped her body on the ground to be picked up. He knew he was not behaving properly for his people, he did not give a damn. Trapped into a mating with a sick creature as Abella had turned even him into a monster. Dreaming of way to kill her and how he would celebrate it.
He would have to wait. At least he bought Adorjan more time. That was the least he could do.
Creya made it back in time to see the six killers entering the place. Three from the front and three in the back door. She had to get to him without revealing who she was to the out side world.
Once they were fully inside she did a quick glance around to make sure no one could see her. No one was about. She ran toward the (inn) and allowed her hands and feet to transform. Allowing the claws to take purchase on the out side of the building. She scaled it in no time. She was outside of Adorjan’s window just when his room door was crashed into.
She seen Adorjan jump up as the first guy charged at him with club. He grabbed that arm and rotated one eighty to the right and you could hear it pop out the socket. The other’s wasted no time in charging at him.
Creya jumped through the glass window and grabbed the first man that crossed her path. She did not retract her claws. Instead she embedded it into the mans throat and ripped open. Leaving the flesh to hang and blood to spurt out.
Adorjan was being rushed by two short but husky men. One of them had a knife and it looked as if he managed to get a couple of good swiped at Adorjan.
Creya managed to kill two more of the bastards while Adorjan was trying to stay alive. When she seen the husky man to his left land a blow across his jaw it was her opportunity to take out the jerk on the right with the knife.
She slashed opened his back causing him to arch abnormally back from the pain. He turned with the knife still in his hand. Aiming it at Creya. He swiped at her but he noticed that his arm was not behaving properly.
She smiled realizing she severed a nerve and he was helpless. She pushed him to the floor. There was no sport in killing him it was better to let him suffer as an invalid.
Creya turned in time to see Adorjan land a nice upper cut on the second man. She stood off to side to see how he handled himself in a fight.
The man staggered back but recovered quickly and began to swing wildly at Adorjan. He duck and moved out of the way of the swings and suddenly with out warning he managed to grab the man by the throat and bit into him.
Creya was worried. This was definately a sign that his hunger is starting to open up and she needed to find Leo soon. She seen the other man’s body start to fall limp. She had to get him off before he drains him dry.
“Jon let him go. You cant drink from the dead.” She tried her best to pull him off but it was not working. A tall man with a head full of fire red curls pulled Adorjan off the dieing man and knocked him out.
“I see I found you guys first.”
“Yeah what took you so long?”
“Later, let’s go. More are coming.” He looked at the floor to see the man Creya left to bleed out moaning on the floor.
“Creya end him. Stop being a brat and kill him already.”
She went over to him and kicked his head causing it to snap back and kill him.
“There are you satisfied.”
Leo pick Adorjan up and the trio left. Barely missing the mob of men on their way to kill them.
If you like the story comment and star. Until next time.
Hello I wanted to thank all of you for following me and reading my stories. I have decided to concentrate on the “The call of the Dhampir” as you all may have noticed.
I do take all of your suggestions into consideration. So I thought of making this list of themes that you may want to read as a one shot pop.
Mystery, Romance, Erotic, BDSM.
Depending on the response I will write a one shot pop story that will have the theme that is chosen the most. If I see that two themes are tied then I will incorporate both in the story. Here is the catch. Pick if the theme should be based in reality or not.
I am burning to see your response. Until next we meet. Fia xoxo
Every night Abella rises and renews the promise to herself to get rid of Makalo’s abomination. Every night that promise comes closer to fruition.
Abella knew that she was living on borrowed time. She seen the hatred grow more and more in Makalo’s eyes. She hears the whispers from the others about his conquests. Yet he would not touch her. Only that once to consummate the mating.
Abella tried her best over the years to show remorse about her sister’s death and to prove to him how deep her love was. Makalo did not once listen. He did not once shown compation. What he gave was indifference, infidelity and loneliness.
He created a prison with no bars. She could not seek forfillment with another or else she will be put to death. What she allowed with the ancient was torment in it’s most primal form. When he heard of her demise did he shown an ounce of care. No he threatened to kill her if she go outside the mating again. It was his right to do so.
All the same she rose and looked at herself in the mirror and smiled. She will kill Adorjan and she will do it in front of his father and the rest. They will see she is a true mate to Makalo. A pure mate that will give him offspring if he only tried.
“Abella I have located Mimi.”
“Were was she?”
“She was in Cleos’ chambers.”
“Was she there all night?”
“I can not say. I too was asleep when the dawn came.”
“What about our servants. Can they vouch to where she has been.”
“Yes Marisa the maid said that she seen when she went into her chamber at the dawn.”
“Bring her to me at once.”
“Mimi you naughty child. Where have you been lately?” She asked as she smiled at herself in the mirror.
Creya walked beside Adorjan without saying a word. He was still brooding from eating the cookie. They stopped for the night to rest in the following town.
The lodging were known to housed their kind without asking questions. Before they went to their rooms she had to breatk this silence.
“Look Jan I am sorry. I did not think this would affect you this badly”
“Why because of who my father is? Well I was raised by my mother and grandmother you seem to forget.”
“okay I get it.”
“No you haven’t got it. You took something away from me that was my right to—“
Adorjan stormed off into his room and slammed the door. Creya felt worse. At least with silence you do not deal with emotions. That was something she was never good at.
She asked the owner of the place if he had a bottle of house wine. Of course he did and charged accordingly. Creya went to her room and drank half the bottle down before having enough courage to confront adorjan again.
She went to his door and banged on it. Adorjan opened it. He looked slightly wet. His hair looked as if it was washed and she smelled honey suckle. she needed to keep her head clear. She pushed him out of the and stood in the middle of the room.
“Look Jan I do not apologize more than once. But here I am apologizing again. I am sorry I gave you my blood.”
Adorjan could tell she was a bit drunk. Her words were not slurred but her posture was relaxed, not so guarded. Her ears were slightly pink and so were her cheeks.
“I accept. Now leave please.”
“Not until you finish what you were about to say down there.”
He stood there debating if he should.
“No you said I took away your right. Your right to what?”
He moved closer to her. “I am not fully human. I am not fully vampire.”
“Tell me something I don’t know.”
He looked at her with an annoyed face.
“Again I am sorry. Wow that’s three times. I’m on a roll with you.”
“It is my right to have my first bite when I decide to – -“
“Oh not that to again. To what? Sleep with someone?” Creya laughed. “You can not be that pure looking the way you do.”
Adorjan went to his bag and pull out a shirt.
“You are, aren’t you?”
“It’s not something we should discuss. I’m sure that you have experience as well.”
“Why are you so sure about that?”
Adorjan stood and walked close to her. He could smell the wine on her breath. He moved as close as was possible. He felt her breath on his skin. He watched as her lips tinted the color of her ears.
He swallowed the minute moisture that was left in his mouth. He slowly leaned down and he heard her heart racing. Her pupils dialated. She looked afraid.
“See I am aware that women do not respond like you when they have been with other’s. Did you know that lips flush with color when aroused? There is four to five layers of skin that betrays you.” He whispered close to her mouth.
Creya pushed him away and realized that he knew. She need to leave.
“Am I right, Creya?”
“Lips Lie all the time.” She said as she walked out of his room.
“Not this time.” He said knowing that she heard him.
Makalo rose from the bed which he currently was sharing with Kara. Normally he would wait until she rose before leaving her presenses. But there was something off in the house.
Why was she here? No one knew of his travels. Where was Sheri? Whispers seemed to be following him down the hallway. It was being illuminated by modern light. Yet the light still casts shadows every step he took.
The whispers became clearer.
“Sheri when are you going to tell your guest of the current situation.”
“Mitchel do not rush me. Once he awakens I will find a way to tell him.”
“You have given him false hope all these centuries. Why Sheri?”
“Hope is never false. Any way the truth will be told so.”
Makalo swept into to the room to see Sheri sitting across the large dining room table with a gentlemen he had never met before.
“Makalo you have awaken. I see Kara prowess had not worn you out.”
“What is it that I need to know?”
“He sure get’s to the point, doesn’t he Sheri?” the gentlemen said as he lift his glass to lips to drink.
“Sit Makalo and have a drink with us. I have fifty year old Irish blend. A bit innocent and a bit naughty.”
“How did you get that particular blend to last without it congealing?”
“Oh I can not tell my secrets can I?” she said as took another sip.
Makalo waited until the servant finished pouring his drink and took a sip. Then politly sit the contents in a hankerchief.it. Something was definatly off here. No vampire can drink aged blood and not get ill.
“Now down to business.” The gentlemen said as he rose with his glass in hand.
His smell was off, his skin slightly off and his speech held an accent that he could not place yet.
“Yes what is it that you want to inform me Sheri.”
“That you are not to come here any longer. I was informed by your father that you are going against the pure vampiric society. You are lucky you are alive Makalo. Why don’t you give up what ever plan you have devised?”
Makalo pushed the glass away. This was not Sheri. She did not care of the purity of vampires. She would love it to be watered down as much as possible.
“Who are you?”
“I told you who I am didn’t I? If I didn’t sorry. My name is Mitchel Pavillio.” He said then bowed.
“Pavillo. The necromancer. You gave us blood from the dead.”
“On the contrary when I raise them, I give them that spark of life and the blood losens a bit and I catch it right at that perfect moment.”
“There is no perfect moment. That is why Sheri is acting as if she has lost her mind. Her brain is probably filled with maggots as we speak.”
“Makalo I am in my right mind.”
“No you are not. You are under his control.” Makalo rose from his seat and walked towards Mitchel. The color in his eyes were gone. Dark and anger filled them.”
“Stay back. I will end Sheri’s immortal life in an instant and your Kara as well.”
“What is it that you want?”
“Kill your son. Rid us of this bliath on the pure name of vampire.”
“Why do you care of our pure name? Your a bliath as well. Who hired you?”
Mitchel did not answere but snarled a bit at the insult.
“Careful Makalo. I will end them. Then end you.”
Makalo realized that he really thought he drank that filth. He made it to his advantage.
“I can not kill my son. I created him.” He said almost in a whisper.
“Yes you did now you must end him.”
Makalo sat in the chair with his head hung low. He heard when Mitchell stepped away from Sheri. He stood up and was be hind him before he realized that he even moved. Once the realization hit his neck was snapped and his body hit the floor.
Makalo went to sheri and looked into her eyes. She was being eaten alive by those awful things. There was only one way to get them out and he hated to do that to his dear friend and ally.
He lifted her up and walked to the lounge chair. There by the fire place were long stick matches. He struck two and immediately pushed them up her nose. Then another two and stuck them in her ears.
Little white maggots began to flee from her body. Through her mouth and eyes. When he pulled the matches out they escaped from there as well. He continued to do this until her body was purged from those insects.
Once done he took her to her room for her to rest. She will be ravenous when she wakes. His job was not complete. He had to attend to Kara. That was going to prove difficult since he had developed feelings for her.
He pushed himself to do what must be done. That night was filled with screams and anger. Too bad he could not rise again so he could kill Mitchell Pavilloall over again.
Breathing goes on without conscious thought. When you start noticing your breathing and it becomes difficult to recall how to inhale. That is definately a bad sign.
The darkness was beginning to lighten up as he walked towards the object. No sound. His foot his the hard cold surface and no sound was produced. There was an object that he has seen before. But the lack of oxygen was hindering his recall. The closer he walked towards it the more it came into view.
Yes, he remembers. The floating glass. He stood before it and just looked at it wondering how was it possible that it was levitating.
That voice. He knew that voice.
“Who’s there? Come forward so I can see you.”
“This is an omen. I will not invite something to posses me.”
“No harm. Drink”
The more he refused the harder it became to breath.
“Would you rather die then drink? Drink and know the truth”
The crushing grip and the lack of oxygen was inflicting on his chest was causing little black spots to appear before him.
That voice he recognized. It was his mother. She would never want harm to befall him. He grabbed the glass and no liquid splashed out. What was inside looked a bit gelatinous.
Now he recognized the first voice. It was his yaya. He swallowed the liquid down and choked on it. Suddenly it was easier to breath. The room lightened and the two most important people in the world to him stood before him.
As he was about to approach his mother, she held her hand up to stop him.
“Adorjan do not come closer. We are not in physical form and we have but a short time to tell you something. Something that we could not bring our selves to tell you when we were alive.”
“I’ll tell him. You heart is going to die. You will be no more.”
“Grandmother please. You were born from light and darkness. By all rights you should not exist but you do. You were born into a path that was predestine. You must go find the Ukr. He will give you the crimson light. When you receive the light, you will know then and only then what you must do.”
“You will have help on this path. They will find you but be careful. As much as they may mean no harm. Harm will befall you.”
“We must go. I am so sorry. I should have prepared you better for this.” She said as the translucent tear trickled down her face.
“Adorjan you are strong. Follow the path, follow the crimson light and enjoy life.” His grand mother said as she wrapped an are around his mother.
“We must go.” His mother whispered.
His heart was beating in his head as he began to fade from one existence into another. The sun hung lower than before. It was midday and he still lied there in bed. He rose to his feet and went in search for Creya.
Ina and Creya were in the kitchen as usual. Ina up to her arms in some kind of gewy concoction and Creya was with that wicked knife sharpening it against a stone.
“What did you give me?”
“Adorjan calm down. What did your dream reveal to you?”
“Why would I tell you anything?”
He turned around and was about to leave when Ina he heard, “Stop!”
“Now you will stay and listen.” Ina stopped doing what ever it was she was doing and went to the sink to wash her hands. Adorjan stayed but he did not sit.
“You were supposed to be told what your path was by your mother or grandmother. Since they did not do so we helped with out telling you verbally our selves.”
“Why couldn’t you tell me instead? I do not understand.”
“I can help you on your way with out telling you what you must do. That is against the rules the universe has placed upon me.”
“You too Creya?”
“I can not tell you verbally either, but I help unlock the message with in you.”
“By drugging me.”
“I gave you a blood cookie. It made you sleep deeply to find out the answer.”
“You feed me blood.”
“Yes. Don’t be surprised dhampir. You’ve had blood before.” Creya said with a smile. The shocked look on his face showed a different answer.
“Oh no. You have never tasted blood. How could this be? You are half vampire.” Creya asked amazed at the news.
“I never craved blood. So my mother and yaya thought that my human half must be strong and never encouraged me to taste it.”
“Odd. Before we go any further. Did you learn anything?”
“I must find Okra.”
“Okra?” Creya asked
“No he must find Ukr. I will point you in his direction and that is all I can do.”
“That is fine with me. I am leaving.”
“I will go with you.”
“You are not going with me. I do not trust you.”
“Good. Don’t trust me, but I am still going with you.”
“Jan, no point in arguing about it. How do you feel?”
“Annoyed and ready to leave.” With that being said he stormed off to get his things.
“Creya keep an eye on him. Since this is his first taste of blood other traits will follow.”
Then maybe I should stay. I don’t want to be a meal.”
Ina had a thought. “Listen, take Leo with you. He will help Jan when the time comes.”
Abella stirred as she slept. Normally the dead don’t dream but those who are pure breed vampire can.
In her dream her sister was there with Makalo. They looked so in love and Abella felt the pangs of jealousy rise within her. She her sister say,” We must be mated soon before my father finds out I am with child.”
“Don’t worry I will have my father come tomorrow to aske for your hand.” He said before he leaned in to kiss her. Then the dream flashed to blood dripping down the steak that she used to kill her sister. She dragged the body towards the window to make sure that she and the baby would burn.
Makalo appeared at the bedroom door as he witnessed his love and child burn. He could not kill Abella because law states once a mating has been proposed between two nests, it will be fulfilled. The night rose and so did Abella.
“Makalo I will kill your abomination and after we will have a child of our own.” She whispered to her self. At least she thought it was to her self.
