Faire’s Visit (Poem)

A  whispered word

On a naughty breeze

Playful and joyful

Trying to please

Come to me

What did it say

I wanted to relax

On this sweet spring day

Come to me

There it was again.

Insistent

Not to hard

Like an old friend

Come–To–Me

Louder it came

Drips with sweet

Molasses from

Sugar cane

I rose to my feet

Not knowing where to go

I just felt the need

That I had to follow

I went into the wood

All by myself

To see who was calling

Sitting by himself

It was you

Who called me here

What is the reason

I want to hear

The reason is simple

And I know you can do

Give me a kiss

And I will give you two

I laughed with joy

And was astounded

Did he believe

I was not grounded

I know who you are

I know what you be

Not of this world

But one from Farie

No kiss I will give

Not a one

Why do you ask

For me to come

You will deny me

A fea king am I

This kiss I want

You can not deny

Oh but I have

And now I will go

Goodbye king

Go back below

Then as quickly as light

Quick as a tic

His lips on mine

His tongue he slip

There is more to this tale

Then I am willing to say

But he does come to visit

Every spring day
