Can you taste a word?
Is it sweet?
Like a ripe mango falling from a tree?
Does it fill the recesses of your mouth?
Leaving you with sensory memory.
Is it tangy?
Tickling and prickling down your throat,
Leaving a trail behind.
Is it Salty?
Making you crave,
the liquid of life.
In the driest of deserts.
Is it spicy?
Taking you on an exploration,
Of places, people, and things you can only dream of.
For me it is hot.
Scotching and blazing trails.
Leading and guiding me to places,
of unexplored tales.
Tempting and teasing traces,
Of unexpected wails.
Being caressed and coaxed
To an unhinged, uninhibited, wonton demise.
I taste every word.
From the tip,
Gliding across the center
And swelling at the root.
Can you taste your words?
(Hello all of you. I just want to make an announcement. I will be publishing a book of poems called Liquid Word later this month. It will have never before seen poems that are adult in nature. It will have the same cover that you see above. I would love for your support. Until then. Fia xoxo
