If you only knew what you could not do, why even try
You can not step your foot out of the door
You can not venture out and explore
You can not sing in a high key
Wait a minute, that’s not you, that’s me
You can not go dancing in the rain
Or listen to it hit the window pane
You can not say hello to me
I mean really
Me?
I will not push and I will not pry
But why not try something you have bottled inside
Like, put anchovies on a pizza
Or actually go and finally meet her
Try on something that you like
They don’t like it; they can take a hike
Anxiety is a wretched thing
Not something to overcome easily
Never peace does it bring
I am not saying to go the opposite way
Too much is too much on any given day
What I am saying is to dip a toe in
Maybe two if you can swim
Let’s just have fun and just be
That’s all I got for now, Fia Naturie xoxox

Great poem, Fia! I love how it flips from doubt to a playful nudge to try something new—like anchovies on pizza (bold move!). It’s such a relatable take on anxiety, showing how tough it can be, but also how small steps can shift things. The dancing-in-the-rain vibe and that cheeky “they can take a hike” line? Perfect. Keep sharing your words—they’ve got heart and humor! (And if you ever test that rain theory, maybe pack an umbrella… or not. Up to you!)
Thank you if I ever do try the rain theory I will let you know. ;))
